What does Clean Up BCS mean?
It is a citizen movement in Baja California Sur in favor of environmental conservation, promoting a comprehensive and sustainable approach to the ecosystem in the face of environmental challenges, fostering a positive culture. This initiative seeks to inspire and motivate the community to actively participate in the protection and improvement of the natural environment, raising awareness about the importance of preserving our resources for today's residents of Baja California Sur and future generations.
How did it start?
It began when we realized that each citizen in Los Cabos generates approximately 1.25 kilograms of waste, which means more than 420 tons of waste per day. Adding to this the hotel industry, there are 630 tons of waste generated daily.
Vision
To raise awareness within communities to address the problem of waste and pollution, fostering a circular economy, reducing health risks, assigning value to waste, and preserving the natural environment.
To promote the execution of feasible team projects, contributing knowledge, training, and education.
